Fisher River /Lake McKenzie Central Highlands Tasmania We completed this walk with the Boots 'N All Walking Club of Tasmania's Scripture Union. The club conducts fortnightly walks to many parts of Tasmania. The website for the program of walks can be found here. The walk to Fisher River commenced on the Blue Peak Track and crossed plateau tairns before decending to the Fish River just above Lake McKenzie. A walk of about 13kms, however this was guided by experienced walkers who had plotted the vaguely marked track on a GPS. Beautiful country especially in January when the alpine heath sp. richea scoparia is in flower.
