This tagalong allowed members to join the benefits of local knowledge and adventure through discovery without the expense of having a paid guide during the whole experience. We travelled Tasmania from North to south, east to west over 14 days and shared the best weather Tasmania had to offer as well as some that was not so good. We explored National Parks, State Reserves and places few people visit. We explored the coast and had the opportunity to experience some of the more rugged coastline on offshore cruise options. I engaged the skills of local guides where appropriate to give this group an unforgettable experience of Tasmania’s wildlife and natural environment. John Bowden, Alan Fletcher, Tonia Cochrane and other local specialists were recruited to assist. It was more than a birding trip. We had 18 participants in this trip. Download the itinerary and map here. Participants were requiredto make personal bookings for transport to Tasmania on the evening of February 15th and return on the evening of March 1st. All other bookings were arranged by me once numbers are definite. Be adventurous. Come and NSW Parks with us. Tasalong is open to enquiry from members of BOCA. If there are sufficient members wanting to undertake this tour I shall consider running it again in 2011. Tasmania's National Parks:
